Working in Flash

These past two weeks we have been working in Flash on our game demo skeletons. I have learned a lot so far. I did not know much about Flash at all when I first started this. I have learned that you don't have to be able to draw very good because they already have straight lines and shapes programed in for you and those things can help you draw other things. I feel very confident about drawing in Flash because though I am not creative and cannot draw very well I'm feel comfortable doing it. The most difficult thing to do in Flash are the codes because you have to be so precise on everything and the slightest mistake can mess up the entire code. I have made a lot of progress in my game demo skeleton because I did not understand why we needed layers or frames, but as I moved on I understood better. I have not gotten my buttons to work right yet, but I have help from classmates, so I'm sure I will get it done soon!

  2. Drawing in Flash is not my friend. Even with the line tool and everything else I still can't seem to make anything look how I want it, but that just may be due to me just being weird about things. Luckily my teammate does the drawing so I'm left with the coding. :) And yes, one wrong letter in the coding can lead to the code not working at all, which isn't fun at all once you get to that point. Well I hope you get your buttons working soon because in most games they are essential.
